General Rules
Members are encouraged to do what they can to maintain the club and leave facilities clean and tidy for others.
The club and caretaker do not accept responsibility for the safety of children in the club.
Members are responsible for the conduct and safety of their children and their visitors' children on club premises. Children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied at all times (especially in the pool) by a care provider who is at least 18 years of age.
When entering and exiting the club do so carefully and quietly for the safety and well-being of members and neighbours. While enjoying club facilities be considerate of the neighbours (e.g. no loudspeakers or amplified sound at functions).
Members must ensure that all gates are properly closed as they enter and leave the pool and also as they enter the front gate to the Karalee grounds.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE ANY OF THE GATES TO BE PROPPED OPEN.
Pets are not permitted in the club grounds.
Members are responsible for any damage caused by their family members or visitors.
Club opening hours are 6 am to 10 pm. Club lights turn off automatically at 10:30 pm.
The club is not conducted for the purpose of profit or gain to its individual members.
Each year, around October, the club committee arranges an annual general meeting of members.
You can be supportive of the club by offering your particular expertise; joining in occasional working bees and activities; encouraging others to join; becoming a committee member.
The club website is www.karaleecountryclub.org.au.
Facilities
Facility maps can be sighted at the back of the entrance notice board and at the pavilion. The entrance gate is accessed by use of a security code. The code does change from time to time. The same code gives access to the club lights located behind the entrance notice board.
Booking of the tennis court is done via the website. Tennis court bookings are for 1 hour only. Consecutive bookings of the tennis court are not permitted, unless otherwise approved by the Committee. Permanent bookings are not permitted but bookings can be renewed each week.
Lights to use the tennis court and cricket nets are activated by inserting two × $2 coins in the boxes on the pavilion wall. Light switches for the basketball court are on the wall of the pump house. Above the pump house are light switches for the barbecues there.
Advice for lighting the gas barbecues is found on the front of the barbecues.
Rules for using the pool are displayed on the pool fencing.
Bookings & Visitors
Members must record the total number of visitors (or non-members) on the Visitors Log Sheet, located on the front gatehouse notice board. Payment is $2 per adult and $1 per child, which is invoiced annually with your annual subscription.
A gathering of 9 visitors or more (including children over 5 years) is deemed a function, which needs to be booked on the website. Double fees apply for functions — $4 per adult & $2 per child. Functions are not to have more than 30 visitors.
If it is just you and your family attending the club and having a BBQ there is no need to book a BBQ. It is expected that BBQs will be shared by all members.
